Tape Looper 1.1.0

Hi all,

thank you to everyone that bought Tape Looper, I really didn’t expect my post on merveilles.town to be so popular. Tape Looper was started on the Sunday night as a ‘I wonder if…’ little bit of hacking, my kids had great fun messing with their voices, so I polished it off a bit more and released it on Tuesday expecting a couple of sales (I still don’t know why it’s more popular than Reactive which I think is fantastic: https://orllewin.itch.io/reactive)

Because it proved so popular I’ve spent a little time fixing up some of the worst bugs and refactoring. The code is still pretty sub-par but much better than it was. There’s two new features; while playing if you hold down A the sample will slow to a stop just like turning off the power on a record player, and following a user request if you press down while playing the playback rate returns to 1.0. There might be still some rough edges but everything will be easier to fix in future releases now the code is a little healthier.

I’ve also fixed a massive bug with audio outputs, previously if you were playing to an external speaker via the 3.5mm jack it’d switch to the internal speaker when you set a loop point! I’ve got a couple more audio projects on the go, I’ll release them here when they’re ready.
